First Mortgages/Home Loans

Check out our new Homes for Sale page today!

You may be surprised at how much money you DON'T need to buy a home! We offer a wide variety of conventional and special mortgage programs and can help you choose which one is best for you. Some programs require nothing down, others require very little down.  With a program requiring just 3% down, you can find a $75,000 home and with a downpayment of just $2,250 (plus closing costs and prepaid expenses where applicable, subject to loan approval), the home could be yours!

Here are just some of the programs we offer you:

100% Mortgage - This program is for those who have excellent credit but can't seem to save for a downpayment. There are no downpayment requirements. Closing costs can come from savings, gifts, grants or the seller. Please ask for details.

FHA - Federal Housing Authority loans offer you the ability to use gifted funds for your entire cash outlay, lower downpayments, and more lenient credit standards

WHEDA - for homebuyers who haven't owned a home for at least three years, low downpayment required

State & Federal VA - for U.S. military veterans, no downpayment may be required

Community Homebuyers - requires just 3% down and a study guide to be completed

Conventional Fixed-Rate - offers a fixed rate for the entire term, requires a 5% minimum downpayment

Adjustable Rates (ARMs)- serviced right here by UnitedOne Credit Union, the rate is fixed for the first few years

Rates & Fees
Rates on mortgage loans are subject to change at any point in time, and closing costs vary depending on the program chosen. We encourage you to check our  Rates page which we udpate daily, or call our Mortgage Specialists at any office to set up an appointment to be sure you're aware of all your options here at UnitedOne.

How Long Does It Take?
Many factors, including the loan program chosen, affect the amount of time it takes to complete a home loan from start to finish. Getting prequalified and preapproved can speed things up a great deal.

Free Prequalification
Mortgage Specialists at amy of of our offices would be more than happy to talk with you and give you a general idea of how much home you can afford. Getting prequalified is a great place to start when thinking about buying a home! There is no charge to get prequalified for a mortgage loan at UnitedOne Credit Union.

Preapproval - Even Better!
We'd be even happier to start your actual loan process and preapprove you for a UnitedOne Credit Union first mortgage. Upon preapproval we will provide you with an official certificate good for 90 days that will tell a real estate agent that you are approved for a particular dollar amount. The certificate shows a real estate agent and seller that you're serious about buying so they'll take you more seriously. There is no cost to obtain preapproval at UnitedOne Credit Union.

You'll find experienced, friendly Mortgage Specialists available at all our offices. We love talking with first-time buyers and experiencing with you the excitement of buying that first home! And we love it when you come back to us a couple years later ready to move on to another castle.

**PLEASE NOTE if you wish to begin your mortgage application process by completing our online Consumer Loan application, the mortgage loan application process requires more detailed documentation and paperwork. If you complete our online application, a Mortgage Specialist will contact you with details on the rest of the process. You may find it takes you less time to call us and request an actual mortgage loan application be mailed to you so you can begin completing that right away.
