KWIK CASH OVERDRAFT PROTECTION
Write checks without every worrying about overdraft fees when you have Kwik Cash automatic overdraft protection. Kwik Cash works as a line of credit connected to your UnitedOne checking account. The line is automatically drawn on whenever you overdraw your checking account (whether by check, ATM or Check Card) as long as it's set up for automatic protection. You can also withdraw cash from the line whenever you need it. A small fee applies when we make the transfer to cover the overdraft; there is no fee when you draw on the line yourself whether through Internet banking, Touch Tone Teller or in person. COURTESY PAY
Unlike Kwik Cash, Courtesy Pay is not a line of credit. It is a privilege we give to qualifying members with checking accounts. If you qualify, you will receive a letter from us in the mail informing you that you have been given the privilege and how it works, as well as a copy of the policy. In general, should you unexpectedly overdraw your account, we normally will cover your overdrafts up to $500 if you have Basic Checking and $700 if you have Interest Checking, after first subtracting the amount of the overdraft fees (as outlined in the policy). When your items are paid, this service will help save you the embarrassment and inconvenience of a returned item as well as the fee normally charged to you by merchants for items returned to them. There is no fee to set up this service, and there is no application needed. When used, you will be notified by U.S. mail, and you will pay our standard nonsufficient funds fee; this is the same fee that we charge for items drawn against insufficient funds and returned to the payee.
