Jasmine Chang, Meredith Putman, and Shanthani Kue are the recipients of UnitedOne Credit Union’s three $1,000 scholarships for the 2025-26 academic year.

Chang is a senior at Sheboygan North High School. Her career goal is to become a dental hygienist after attending Lakeshore Technical College.

“I’ve realized that I’m drawn to fields where I can help others, whether that’s through offering guidance, providing support, or creating positive change in the community,” Chang said.

Putman is a senior at Roncalli High School in Manitowoc. She will be attending Marian University in the fall to pursue a degree in early childhood education.

“My dream is to teach at an elementary school with the hopes of giving back to my community through the education of children,” Putman said. “My goal is to show love and care to my students just as my teachers did for me.”

Kue, a Manitowoc resident, currently attends the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh and is pursuing a career in nursing.

“Becoming a CNA as a junior in high school was intimidating,” Kue said. “Balancing work and school were overwhelming at times, but I learned to adapt, to manage my time, and to push through exhaustion. More importantly, I realized that being a CNA is not about getting tasks done — it is about being there for people when they need it most.”

UnitedOne offers three $1,000 scholarships to its members. Two scholarships are awarded to high school seniors, including one who resides in Manitowoc County and one who resides in Sheboygan County. The third scholarship is awarded to a current college student or working adult pursuing higher education. Putman, Chang and Kue were chosen by an independent panel, which judged applicants based on a written essay.
